Dr. Sanjiv Bhalla
Founding Partner
Dr. Sanjiv (Sonny) Bhalla received his MD from the University of Western Ontario in 1997 and completed his Family Medicine and Emergency Medicine Residency from McMaster University in 2000. He then went on to complete his Radiology Residency at UBC in 2009. He is the Medical Director of Kinetix and has been a Diagnostic and Interventional Radiologist for the last 9 years with an interest in Orthopaedic Medicine and Pain Management. …Prior to that, Dr. Bhalla was a practicing Emergency Physician for 5 years where he witnessed the debilitating effects that both acute and chronic pain have on an individual’s activity, health, and social interactions. His goal is to improve pain management in acute and chronic pain using established and innovative techniques in the field of Interventional Pain Therapy.
Gary Prihar
Founding Partner
Mr. Prihar brings extensive healthcare clinic experience with the critical lens of his CPA and CA designations to the Wevest team. His experience empowers management with an intimate understanding of the dynamics that create a platform for highly successful interactions between provider and recipient. He was Co-Founder of Viva Care Medical Group. Serving as President, CFO, started in 2009, with successful expansion to seven medical clinic … locations within the Jack Nathan Health® clinic network, four independent clinics outside the network, and five independent pharmacies. Building Viva Care Medical Group, within its first decade of operation, as the largest clinic operating partner to serve more than 250,000+ patients on an annual basis. He currently serves as President and Co-Founder of Move Health & Wellness. A multidisciplinary Wellness clinic based out of Vancouver focusing on physical and mental health recovery using physiotherapy, chiropractic, massage therapy, kinesiology, naturopathic and clinical counseling. David Kolby
Founding Partner
Mr. Kolby graduated with a BA (Economics) from Simon Fraser University and is a founding member of Wevest. With an extensive technology business background including his current position as founder of Vancouver based custom software firm General Internet Inc., Mr. Kolby has overseen projects ranging from start-ups to enterprise level deployments, in various industries internationally. Mr. Kolby has also worked as a marketing and … management consultant in various sectors including serving as Partner and Interim CEO of Beck Insurance, a national MGA, underwritten by Trisura Guarantee Insurance Company. Mr. Kolby brings a wide ranging digital skillset that will help ensure WeVest is on the leading edge of the Medtech space with a strict focus delivering on patient-focused technology offerings.
Nic Parhar
Founding Partner
Mr. Parhar is a Biomedical Engineering graduate in Radiology Science, Applied Sciences, from the BC Institute of Technology. He has worked as a Radiology Imaging Engineer for over 23 years with direct experience in all major imaging modalities including X Ray, Ultrasound, Fluoroscopy/C Arm, Nuclear Medicine, Spect/CT, and Mammography. His roles include overseeing implementation…and installation procurement of all modalities via rigorous RFP platforms in some of Canada’s most advanced public healthcare
